POS is Dead (as we know it), Enjoy More Profits from the Downfall

Point of Sale is dead.  The remnants of legacy POS today is fading away as the hardware running them is bled out on a depreciation basis.  This is a great event for hospitality which will improve profits by driving down costs and allowing employees to focus on customer value.  It signals a “race to zero” on technology costs and it allows all data to live on one platform for everyone a business touches.  We are living in unprecedented times where the pioneering efforts of consumer technology are finding their way into independent and enterprise restaurants and retail.  Easy, meet restaurant.
